ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi internet membawa pengaruh positif dan negatif bagi masyarakat atau karyawan. Pengaruh positif dari perkembangan teknologi internet adalah memudahkan karyawan mendapatkan informasi yang akurat dan terbaru serta memudahkan dalam bertransaksi. Pengaruh negatif dari teknologi bagi karyawan adalah penggunaan internet ini menjadikan karyawan lupa waktu yang merevolusi kemalasan karyawan pada tugas dan tanggung jawabnya. PT Cottonindo Ariesta Tbk merupakan salah satu perusahaan terbesar di Indonesia yang memproduksi kapas dengan teknologi yang canggih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self control terhadap cyberloafing behavior. Metode penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif dan verifikatif. Penentuan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, kuesioner, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Analisis data menggunakan uji koefisien korelasi, uji koefisien determinasi, uji regresi linier sederhana, dan uji hipotesis yaitu uji t. Hasil uji t menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif antara self control dengan cyberloafing behavior di PT Cottonindo Ariesta Tbk. Besar pengaruh self control terhadap cyberloafing behavior termasuk kedalam kategori kuat, sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya yang tidak penulis teliti dalam penelitian ini ABSTRACT The outgrowth of internet technology has positive and negative impact to current society or employees as well. The positive impact of a spreading of internet is how to employees in getting an accurate and up-to-date information and makes such transactions easier. Aside from the positve effect of this technology, the internet also create employees neglect about time and which emerge the laziness in his duties and inprofessional responsibilities. PT Cottonindo Ariesta Tbk is one of the prominent company in Indonesia that produces cotton products with an advanced technology. This study aims to determine the effect of self control on cyberloafing behavior. Research method uses quantitative methods with descriptive and verification research applied. Total sampling of respondents are 100 people. The data collection technique was done by in depth interview technique, and also with spread of the questionnaire; doing several observation, and also the literature study. Data analysis used correlation coefficient test, determination coefficient test, simple linear regression test, and hypothesis test, namely t-test. The t-test results findings that there is a significant and positive effect between self control and cyberloafing behavior at among PT Cottonindo Ariesta Tbk employees. There are a siginifacant of the influence of self-control aspect on cyberloafing behavior which finding in a strong category; futher more the rest were influenced by other variables which the authors did not do the examination in this study.
